Arsenal linked with move for Manchester United defender Eric Bailly

According to the Daily Record, the Gunners are preparing to battle North London rivals Tottenham for Eric Bailly’s signature. The Ivory Coast international has dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford after a series of bad performances under Jose Mourinho.

The 24-year-old defender has started in only 3 matches this season in the Premier League and has been a substitute in 2 matches.

The Record reports that both Arsenal and Spurs made enquiries for Bailly during the summer but were told that the defender was not for sale. But Manchester United are now looking to sell one of either Bailly or Marcos Rojo as they seek to raise funds in order to buy a new central defender which they need urgently as they have been poor in the defensive areas.
