Speaking to the French TV programme Telefoot, Lille sporting director Luis Ocampos has said that any club that wants Nicolas Pepe will need to pay £72M for his services.
The Gunners have been linked on multiple occasions this season with the Ivory Coast International who was close to a move away from Lille this summer. Bundesliga side Schalke 04 put in a bid of €20million but failed as Lille refused to accept anything less than £26million.
Pepe has currently scored 12 goals and has 5 assists to his name for Lille in Ligue 1 this season.
“Pepe – I would sell him for €80million [£72million],” said the Lille sporting director Luis Ocampos. “But any club would have to convince the player.”
It was claimed last week that Arsenal are in the pole position to sign the Winger.
Chelsea are also believed to be interested.
