Iker Casillas admitted to hospital after suffering a heart attack

According to reports in Portugal, goalkeeper Iker Casillas has been hospitalised after suffering a heart attack.

It’s believed that the FC Porto goalkeeper suffered a myocardial infarction on earlier today, but his condition is believed to be stable at the moment and does not seem to be life-threatening.

The reports are understandably claiming that Casillas will not be playing for the remainder of the season as he seeks to make a quick recovery away from the pitch.

Porto confirmed the news to TVI, but say the Spanish stopper is ‘doing well’ after being taken to the Hospital CUF in Porto earlier today.

All our best wishes to Casillas and his family!
