Moussa Sissoko has joined Watford on a two year deal from Tottenham Hotspur for a fee around £2.5 million, according to a report from Sky Sports.
The 32-year-old had two years remaining on his contract at Spurs but was still allowed to leave the club.
The French footballer joined the London side in the summer of 2016 from Newcastle United in a deal worth £30m.
Since his arrival at the club, he has clocked up 202 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and creating 15 assists in the process (stats from Transfermarkt).
The experienced footballer also made over 40 appearances last season as Spurs finished seventh in the league table.
However, he wasn’t part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans and has now left the Lilywhites to join the Hornets.
Tottenham Hotspur have seen the departures of several prominent players this summer, including Erik Lamela, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld.
However, Spurs managed to keep star striker Harry Kane who wanted to leave the club to win big trophies.
Manchester City were said to be willing to break the British record transfer fee for securing the services of the 28-year-old but the Lilywhites stood firm in their stance that he is not for sale.
The Londoners will now face Watford this week, but Sissoko is not expected to be involved.
