Lorenzo Insigne on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested to sign Lorenzo Insigne who is currently on the books of Napoli.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the London side are one of the clubs who are monitoring the situation of the 30-year-old at his present club.

The forward’s current deal at the Blues is set to expire next summer.

This means that he will be eligible to discuss pre-contract terms with any foreign club from January.

The Italian player has been linked with several European clubs, including Spurs.

He enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 season for the Serie A side, helping them to finish fifth in the table with a point behind Juventus.

The 30-year-old clocked up 48 appearances across all competitions last campaign, smashing 19 goals and creating 11 assists in the process (stats from Transfermarkt).

He has made 397 total appearances for Napoli so far, with 109 goals and 85 assists to his name.

Tottenham Hotspur have made a fine start to the 2021-22 campaign, defeating Manchester City 1-0 in their league opener.

Son Heung-min’s 55th-minute strike proved sufficient for the Lilywhites to pick up their first three points at their home stadium.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will now visit the Molineux Stadium to face Wolves next week.
