Manchester United will go for Erling Haaland next summer despite Ronaldo arrival

Manchester United will make Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland their ‘priority target’ in the next summer transfer window, according to ESPN

The Red Devils have already signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now boasting plenty of attacking options.

They will fork out an initial 15 million for the signature of the 36-year-old, with a further 8m in add-ons.

The Manchester side will also have to part with a huge sum in wages for the Portuguese star.

However, despite bringing in Ronaldo this year, United will still try to sign Haaland next summer.

The Red Devils are expected to face stiff competition for the signature of the 21-year-old, with Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid all reportedly keen on him.

The Citizens failed to land their number one target Harry Kane this summer, but they will attempt to secure the signature of the Norway international next year.

While the Bundesliga giants reportedly view the talented striker as a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

PSG are expected to lose Kylian Mbappe next summer, so they will also try to sign Haaland as a replacement for the World Cup winner.

Meanwhile, Real will also be in the race for the Norwegian, with the Spanish giants recently failing to sign Mbappe.
