Manchester United have told Jadon Sancho they’ll be back in January to try again for the Borussia Dortmund star. Manchester United finally gave up on signing the former Manchester City player at the weekend as the Bundesliga club remained firm on their valuation of the English winger.
United had offered £70million upfront rising to £100m – but Dortmund wanted more £108m overall.
While Sancho wanted the move to Old Trafford, the 20-year-old pacy winger did not want to force the deal by publicly announcing his desire to leave, says The Sun.
A public transfer request could have strained his relationship with Dortmund if the deal fell through. Report says he has informed people close to him that he is convinced he will still end up being a United player with a deal set to be revived in the New Year.
The club have made it clear to the player that they will not turn their back on the move despite the problems they have encountered with Dortmund this summer.
A lot of people see him as the right man to take up the number seven shirt at the theatre of dreams. It is yet to be seen where he eventually ends up playing in the foreseeable future.
