Sporting Lisbon fail to agree terms for Man City prospect

Reports from Portugal claims that Sporting Lisbon and Manchester City have failed to reach an agreement regarding the transfer of Spanish ace Pedro Porro. Porro had been linked with a move to the Portuguese giants after his impressive loan stint at Spanish side Real Valladolid last season.

It had earlier been reported that a two-season loan had been agreed by both clubs but there exist a snag regarding the fee required to make the deal permanent. According to Portuguese tabloid O Jogo, Sporting value the player below €10m, while Man City want higher.

City signed the wing-back from Spanish side Girona and loaned him to Valladolid where he impressed. The Spanish u21 is highly-rated in Spain and regarded as one for the future.

It is expected that both sides will agree to a deal in the coming days. Meanwhile, Manchester City are reportedly inching closer to signing fellow Spanish u21 teammate Ferran Torres.

Torres is currently into the last year of his contract at Valencia and the Spanish club are believed to have agreed a deal worth an initial £21 million for the pacy winger.

Torres is expected to replace German ace Leroy Sane who moved to Bayern Munich earlier in the season for a club record fee of about £54 million.
