According to a report from Football Insider, Manchester United’s James Garner has turned down a new contract offer at Old Trafford.
The 20-year-old remained on loan at Watford for the first half of last season before moving to Nottingham Forest for the remainder of the campaign.
He enjoyed a good start for the Hornets but his game time at Vicarage Road was greatly reduced after the appointment of Xisco Munoz as their new manager.
After his Watford deal terminated, the youngster joined Chris Hughton’s side and clocked up 20 appearances, earning four goals to his name.
James is an academy graduate of the Red Devils who rose through its youth ranks to earn his first-team debut against Crystal Palace in February 2019.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a return to Nottingham Forest, while Sheffield United and Stoke City have also been credited with an interest in him.
Garner’s current contract at Old Trafford is set to expire next summer, having previously penned a deal in 2019.
And now as per Football Insider, the talented midfielder has turned down United’s offer of a new contract, putting his future at the Manchester side into major doubt.
The English footballer is a highly talented player who is known for his exceptional passing, shooting and dribbling abilities.
It is a blow for United that he has rejected the offer, giving hopes to the other clubs who are interested in him.
